1) Deal locally with folks you can meet with in person.
2) Never wire funds via Western Union, Money-Gram or any other wire service - anyone that conducts business in this fashion is more than likely a scammer.
3) Fake cashiers checks and money orders are common -- banks will cash them and hold
you responsible if the fake is discovered weeks later. Always verify funds
with the bank any check is drawn upon.
4) LimoForSale.com is NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TRANSACTION and does not handle payments,
guarantee transactions or provide escrow services.
5) Never give out your financial
information, including your bank account number or
social security number.
6) Avoid deals involving escrow services.
7) Avoid deals where the user is acting as an agent of an out-of-country buyer.
8) Avoid deals where the buyer asks you to refund surplus monies.

Recognizing
A Scammer |

Most scams will involve any or a combination of the following:
1) Inquiry from someone far away
2) Use of the word "details"
3) Use of a "yahoo" email address.
4) The buyer is not using a website domain address.
5) The buyer wants you to return surplus funds via cashiers check.
6) The buyer is acting as an agent for someone else.
7) The buyer complicates the transactions with excuses.
8) Refusal of the buyer to meet face-to-face.
9) Buyer claims to guarantee something, free shipping etc.
10) Buyer wants to use Western Union or any other money transfer service.
11) Buyer has poor grammar - spelling errors, capitalization, etc. |
